NutriTrail Privacy Policy

NutriTrail is a food diary app published by wo6 ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how to delete it.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google, and a phone number if you choose to add one when creating an account (optional, not verified, and not used for sign-in). Used to sign you in and sync your diary across devices.
• Your food diary: the foods and meals you log, portion sizes, custom foods and saved meals.
• Body and goal details, if you enter them: sex, birth year, height, weight, activity level and goal (for example, lose or maintain weight). Used only to calculate your calorie and nutrient targets.
• Nutrition label photos, only when you choose to scan one: see below.

We don't collect your location or contacts, and we don't use advertising or analytics SDKs.

Scanning nutrition labels

When you choose to scan a label, the photo you take or pick is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and to Anthropic's Claude AI service, which reads the nutrition values from it. The photo is used only to create that custom food. We don't store the photo after it's processed, and it isn't used for advertising. The app asks for camera or photo access only when you use this feature.

Food search

When you search for a food, your search text is sent to public food databases (USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts) to find matching foods. No account details are sent with it.

Who can see your data

• Your diary, body details and goals are private to you. Other users can't see them.
• Data is stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, and protected so that only your account can read it.
• We share data only with the service providers described above (Supabase for storage, Anthropic for label scanning, Google for Google sign-in), and only as needed to run the app. We don't sell personal data.

Deleting your account and data

Email wo6.connect@gmail.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my NutriTrail account". We'll delete your account and all associated data (diary, custom foods, saved meals and profile) within 30 days and confirm by email. See Delete your account.

Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. Once your account is deleted, your data is removed from our database, and copies in our hosting provider's routine backups expire automatically.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access is restricted so that only you can read your diary and profile.

Health information

NutriTrail is for general wellbeing and isn't a medical device. Calorie and nutrient targets are estimates, not medical advice.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data at any time, in the app or by emailing us. If you have a concern about how your data is handled, contact us at wo6.connect@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

NutriTrail is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
