petto! Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

petto! is a step counter with walking challenges, published by wo6 ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how to delete it.

What we collect

Where step data comes from

On iPhone, petto! reads your step count from Apple's Motion & Fitness data. On Android, it reads Steps from Health Connect or, if Health Connect isn't available, counts steps with the phone's sensor while the app is open. petto! only reads step counts. It never writes to Health Connect or Apple Health, and it requests no other health data.

Data read from Health Connect is used only to show your daily totals and calculate challenge distances. It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not shared with anyone except as described below.

Who can see your data

We don't use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we don't sell personal data.

Deleting your account and data

Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account removes it from our database straight away. Copies in our hosting provider's routine backups expire automatically.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to your data is restricted so that only you, and the challenge participants described above, can see it.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data at any time, in the app or by emailing us. If you have a concern about how your data is handled, contact us at wo6.connect@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

petto! is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
